Camps/Clinics

The camps and clinics section will list camps & clinics that are offered by members of our Community and will be a place that informs you of camp & clinic opportunities that are available in the metro area. If you have any questions about any listings in this area please contact us.

Winter Workouts 2012
 

Kennedy High School Baseball program will again host winter workouts for youth players during the months of January, February, and March.  The workouts are conducted on Sunday nights beginning January 8th 2012.  There will be no workout session on Sunday February 5th as that is the date of Super Bowl Sunday 2012.  Most sessions will begin at 6:30pm and end at 8:00pm.  There are some variations to this start time.  Please download the schedule from the linked file below or from the "Schedules" link in the left hand column.  The early sessions will be instructed by Kennedy Baseball Head Coach Matt Hanson and his coaching staff along with assistance from high school players.

There will be a later session for High School players immediately following the Youth Player session.  The High School sessions normally will begin at 8:00pm and end at 9:30pm.  Additionally, there will be another High School session on Wednesday night of each week beginning at 8:00pm and ending at 10:00pm.  The Wednesday night sessions will begin on January 11, 2012 and end on February 29, 2012.  Again, please download the schedule.

2011 Instructional Hitting & Fielding Holiday Camp.

 

·      December 27, 28 & 29, 2011

·      Concordia University - St. Paul, MN Sea Foam Stadium Dome & Indoor Hitting Facility.

·      Baseball Players 13-18 years old.

·      10:00am-2:00pm each day.

·      $125 per Camper.

·      Professional Instruction ( See Coaching Bio’s below)

·      Campers need to bring their Glove, Bat, Turf Shoes (No Metal Spikes) and Lunch.

·      This camp will fill quickly, Campers will receive professional instruction in all aspects of hitting, fielding and throwing the baseball as well as a Holiday Camp T-Shirt.

Program: I understand and agree that:

1)      The fee for the Program in which I am participating is explained on the price sheet below.

2)      Payment in full is required prior to the commencement or immediately after each session of the Program and no cash refunds will be given for my failure to complete the Program.

3)      Concordia University & Baseball USA Inc., its employees or agents have not provided me with any warranties or representations that participation in the Program will improve or enhance my performance or physical condition.

Waiver and Release: I acknowledge that:

By signing this document, I declare that I have no medical problems that would preclude my participation in the Program. My participation in the Program is voluntary and I assume all risk of injury or contraction of any illness or medical condition that may result, or the aggravation of any pre-existing medical condition I may have, or loss or theft of any personal property resulting or arising out of my participation in the Program. I understand and acknowledge that Concordia University & Baseball USA Holiday Instructional Hitting & Fielding Camp, its employees or agents have no expertise in diagnosing, examining or treating any medical condition, whether existing or incurred as a result of my participation in the Program. I understand and acknowledge that the Program has made no guaranty of success or improvement as a result of my participation in the Program.

 

I, hereby, on behalf of myself, personal representatives, heirs, executors, administrators, agents and assigns, forever release and discharge Concordia University and or Baseball USA Inc., its affiliates, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns from any and all claims or causes of actions (known and unknown) that I may have in the future as a result of the Programs negligence. This waiver and release of liabilities includes but is not limited to, injuries that result from any negligent instruction or supervision provided by the Program. I HAVE READ THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS A COMPLETE RELEASE OF LIABILITY. THAT I HEREBY WAIVE ANY RIGHT THAT I MAY NOW HAVE OR WILL HAVE TO BRING ANY LEGAL ACTION AGAINST CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY AND OR BASEBALL USA INC., ITS EMPLOYESS, AGENTS, SUCCESSORS OR ASSIGNS, FOR ANY LIABILITIES THAT MAY RESULT, WHETHER DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE PROGRAMS NEGLIENCE.

 

Miscellaneous. The provisions in this document are servable and if any provision is determined to be illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions and any partially enforceable provision shall never the less be enforceable unless otherwise prohibited by laws of the State of Minnesota. The Program’s failure to enforce any remedy or provision of this document shall not be construed as a waiver of such remedy or provision.

Minnesota Twins Youth Camp Hitting Instructor.

Assistant Coach on the 1997 USA Baseball 16U National Team & the 2008 & 2010  USA Baseball 18U National Team.

Head Coach of the 1998 Gold Medal winning USA Baseball 16U National Team.

14 years with USA Baseball, 1997-present.

1995 Minnetonka High School Male Coach of the Year.

1998 United States Olympic Committee Developmental Coach of the Year.

2003 Baseball Minnesota College Coach of the Year.

2005 Northern Sun Conference Coach of the Year.

2010 Baseball Canada Humanitarian of the Year.

Lunch has coached 70 players that have been drafted or signed professionally including 13 Fist Round Picks.

Over 400 of his students have gone on to college baseball or softball.

Steve Butler

Assistant Coach, Concordia University - St. Paul, MN 4th year.

Former Team Captain @ Concordia University - St. Paul Third Baseman .313 career Batting Average, started 101 games for the Golden Bears, 2003 NSIC Champions.

7 Years of Professional Baseball as a Utility Player, SS, 2B, OF, 3B, 1B, RHP

American Association, South Coast League, Saint paul Saints, South Georgia Peaches, Fort Worth Cats and finished career with the Saint Paul Saints in 2010.

Played in over 250 professional games with nearly 700 career at bats and 800 plate appearances.

Marcus McKenzie

Pitching Coach, Concordia University - St. Paul, MN 5th year.

USA Baseball TOS Task Force Member 2011.

Former Minnesota Gopher Pitcher 7-1 as a senior in 2007.

Former Saint Cloud River Bat in the Northwood’s League 2004, 7-0 as a freshman.

4 Years of Professional Baseball, LHP.

American Association, Frontier league, Arizona Winter league, Golden League.

Saint Paul Saints, Southern Illinois Miners, Rockford River Hawks, Calgary Vipers and finished career with the Saint Paul Saints in 2010.

Holds 7 Minnesota State High School League Pitching Records.

Baseball America American Legion All World Series First baseman 2002.
